Breathing Meditation 101
The first step in meditation is to prevent any form of distraction from entering your thoughts. Make sure that your mind is clear and you are in a lucid state. This can be done by practicing breathing meditation that is so simple, anyone can do it.
Choose a place that is quiet enough for you to meditate. You must find a sitting position which you are comfortable to stay in for a long period. Some can sit in the cross-legged posture (the traditional) period for a long duration. Some people engage sit in chairs. Just remember that the back must be kept straight so that the mind will not be sleepy, lazy or sluggish.
Eyes are quasi-closed and the focus is concentrated on the breathing. Relax and let the breathing come naturally. Let it pass through the nostrils. You do not have to control your breath. Soon enough, as you are engaged in the inhale and exhale process, you will notice that the sensation of your breathing as it enters and goes out of your nostrils is relaxing in itself. If this is so, then you are already meditating.
This is the very object of meditation. You should concentrate on breathing first and foremost. You should exclude everything else that is going on around you while you are in that process. Breathing meditation is helpful for the health of a person with a very busy mind. At least by taking in the time to engage in breathing meditation exercises, the person can relax his or her mind for a minute to not ponder on concerns that make him or her busy all throughout the day.
Over time, a person gets used to disregard the temptation of unnecessary thought entering his head while he is engaged in breathing meditation. He remains focused and concentrates on his breathing. Once he discovers that his mind is wandering and is following other thoughts, then he quickly returns to breathing. Throughout the course of the entire meditation, this is done repeatedly in order to perfect the craft.
The secret to the whole breathing meditation is that the breathing settles the mind. As long as the individual patiently practices, he or she will soon discover that those unnecessary thoughts will eventually subside. What follows afterwards is en experience of relaxation and inner peace that is good for the body, mind and soul.
Breathing meditation is a preliminary yet powerful stage in the whole craft of meditating. From practicing this, one can already experience the contentment and inner peace he?s been meaning to achieve. By controlling his or her mind, a person does not have to depend on the external factors. The minute that he or she is able to remove those distracting thoughts, no matter how turbulent they are, then he or she will be in a deep happiness that naturally comes from within.
True enough, the stress that we experience everyday and have in our minds will subside as long as we remain still and enjoy the silence of each moment in breathing meditation sensations.

Paraliminal Pathways Launches Powerful Meditation/Affirmation CD Set: 2 Voices, 2 Sets of Suggestions, 2 Times the Results
Paraliminals are the next generation in effective self-hypnosis techniques. Basically, whereas traditional hypnosis CDs feature one voice providing one set of hypnotic suggestions, paraliminals feature two different sets of hypnotic suggestions (or patters), generally both recorded by the same hypnotherapist, so that one plays in each ear of one's headset. Here at Paraliminal Pathways, we've taken the paraliminal concept one step further: Not only do we have two hypnotic patters, but each is recorded by a different hypnotherapist, and both are braided together with music created specifically for each individual CD. The effect is incredible. The conscious mind simply can't hold on to the two different voices and different patters simultaneou...
